The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC), is the regional Planning District Commission for the Peninsula and Southeastern Virginia. These 16 localities are represented by the HRPDC and work together for the successful planning, research, and analysis of matters important to the area.

One benefit offered is askhrgreen. This is an educational program designed by the 16 localities and maintained by the HRPDC. It was developed in order to help promote public education on issues of environmental stewardship.It actually began as four separate programs, HR CLEAN, HR FOG, HR STORM, and HR WET.
